  • Where can I find things to resell?

I want to start reselling stuff on ebay and craigslist, but I don't know where to find stuff after the stuff I have in my own house I don't use is already used? Where are good places to find stuff to resell?

It really depends on what you want to sell. A lot of people frequent the thrift stores, Salvation Army, and Goodwill looking for stuff they can buy for cheap and resell for a profit. (I once bought a joystick for $4 and sold it for $70!) you really just need to know what you are looking for and know the value of those items.

Short of that, you could source product from overseas. I read an article where a person made over $10000 selling micro SD cards that they bought in bulk from China. That requires a bit of start-up capital, but can bring in a big profit if you find the right supplier. alibaba dot com is one site to look at. I'm not promoting them, but they are the first to come to mind.

      Good Luck!

When I was doing this regularly, I had a whole series of thrift shops and auctions that I visited routinely. I also spent every Saturday combing the yard sales. And don't overlook the best source of stuff to resell - the trash. People throw out tons of great merchandise every day just because they don't want it anymore, not because there is anything wrong with it.

            Making money buying and selling

You can buy and sell ANYTHING for a profit if you're able to get it at a low enough price. I used Craigslist to find things that people were selling for less than what I perceived the value to be and then I resold the items on Craigslist for a profit. I posted an article on my website at [link removed] detailing how I made money doing this with pointers of things that I learned to help you out.

Facebook for sale pages are good as are thrift stores.

Think about 'upcycling' too, where you take something old and renew it cheaply (ideally) and sell it on as something better
