  • How to make money on social media

So basically I'm 15 years old and I own an Instagram account where I have 46 thousand followers and get around 2500- 5000 likes on a photo, I post pictures of new football gear and stuff relating to that. This is cool and all but I have no idea how to monetize my fan base other than selling advertisements here and there, I have been trying to figure out a way to make money using my Instagram page but haven't thought of a good idea. I would really like some advice from someone who has any ideas or can help thanks.

The current "hot" way to make money with social media like this is with T-shirts. You could also place themed items that would appeal to this group found on Amazon with your affiliate link to make money.

With a following like that, others may be willing to pay you for a plug for them. But you only want to do this if its close to your subject.

        I agree with the others

You should locate a product that you can promote that falls within the theme that your followers are expecting to find on your page. That will result in a higher conversion rate.

I think that you actually have a number of opportunities to make money. First, if you're recommending products, or see products that you like, you should post them with an affiliate link to a place where those people can purchase that product. Amazon would be a good example. If you use your Amazon link and people click through and purchase the product, you will earn a little bit of money from it.

I think the T-shirt idea also to work well if you're creative with coming up with ideas which would appeal to the people following you. There are quite a few people making a good amount of money doing this.

Then, like others have suggested, you can see if you can find businesses who will pay you to promote their brand or store. This isn't easy money because you'll have to go out and find these people. Some may come to you from time to time, but you'll have to do the leg work most of the time.

Well a more covert way, without getting banned for affiliate link spam , is to make quickly a website, put it full of ads and affiliate links to various programs, and then start directing your audience there.

It can make you a less efficient, but more social -friendly way to make money from ads.

46 thousand followers, woah! All I can say is great job! You can try giving shoutouts for money, with that big of a community, I'm sure someone will be interested in it.

Join Amazon’s Affiliate Program, any sales made from a link you provide to Amazon will net you a small percentage. Cultivate a following and promote specific items on your account, then include an affiliate link to the item on Amazon so that when a follower purchases something you’ll get paid.

A lot of new small companies are ready to pay for promoting them in Facebook etc. Try that.

Well another resurrected thread thanks to a busy bee today!

The OP was 15 two years ago when they posted the thread so should be 17 currently, so this would still apply. Most of the affiliate programs etc. I believe the person doing them has to be at least 18 or legal age in their state as you are signing a contract with the companies and teenagers are not legally allowed to do so. Bummer, I'm sure, but something to keep in mind.

I doubt you message gets to stay posted, but I would leery of any company that can't spell or use proper grammar in the sales spiel like yours has been written.
