  • Places to unload old Verizon cell phones besides Ebay?

Okay. I thought I'd ask since I told sis I'd do this..

My grandma, who paid for our Verizon cell phones, just died. We're switching them to Tmobile(Verizon sold gran a horribly expensive plan, yuck. we can't afford that.), but my momma's old cell phone and my brother's old cell phone (these are not smart phones, they are feature phones, also known as plain dumb phones) are still good.

I was thinking about ebaying them; is there other places where I could sell those? I know there's a market for Verizon phones b/c simply speaking, they do tend to extend the contract when you get a new phone and buying a secondhand phone is the only way to NOT extend it.

As for mine, I'm taking it to Radio Shack for recycling since it does have a broken hinge. I'll be doing this after we make the swap to Tmobile.

I've sold a few things on Glyde.com before. They all sold within a week and the process was very easy.

I'll check them out. They may not be able to handle those feature phones, I may still be stuck with Ebay but we'll see once the transfer happens. I just want to know what my options are!

You can put in the model and see if it's something they sell. It will tell you how much you'll get for it once it sells too.

There are also agencies that accept donations of old phones for their clients - battered women shelters come to mind.
