  • Is Project Payday a scam or legit?

First time post, but I have been lurking for a couple of months now. I'm trying to create other streams of income besides my regular job and I've been looking at affiliate opportunities. I'm still new at this so I don't know a whole lot and it's hard to get unbiased information from the people promoting these things, so I'm posting here to try and get a better and more realistic view of what might be wrong with Project Payday.

Since I don't have a lot of experience and I don't have a lot of money to waste, I don't want to end up being scammed. Does anyone have experience with Project Payday? They seem to pay well, but the problem I have is that in order to become an affiliate with them, you need to sign up with one of the services they provide which isn't free. Is it common to have to pay just to be able to promote a company? Having to sign up with Project Payday just to be a part of their program makes me feel they are a bit shady and it could be a scam. What do you all think?

HUGE RED FLAG!!!! You should never have to pay for a legitimate job. If it sounds shady, it is. Stay away.

That's what I thought, but it also kind of made sense in a really strange way. I mean, it makes sense that you need to sign up with a website to be part of it, and part of their sign up process is that you need to do one of their promotions as I understand it. That's why I almost did it.

But then thinking about it, it doesn't make sense that I have to pay for something to promote it to try and make money. Thank you for the comment and confirming my suspicion.

There are plenty of affiliate companies that don;t require you to pay anything up front when joining their program. If you have to pay to join, I would stay far away.

Project Payday does pay, but it's VERY VERY crappy. It's hard to earn with them, plus they have a pretty strong reputation for canceling peoples accounts, if I were you I would stay away and look into something else. There is many more affiliate marketing programs out there that absolutely blow this one out of the water. Don't waste your time on it, look into some other ones.
