  • Write a Book

I know this may seem like a daunting task, but if you set aside 30 minutes each day to write a few paragraphs, a book can be developed in under a year. Publishing should not be a problem, especially with all these Kindles and tablets. If digital sales go well, you could even take it to the next level and have a publishing company start printing paperback copies.

Has anyone here actually written a book?

I haven't but my daughter has. She is actually in the process of self-publishing. She had sent inquiries to many traditional publishers but none was interested. Then she happened to win a contest at an online writer's site for a free e-book publishing contract. I have to finish proofreading, we need to create the cover art, and take care of a few other details and she'll be ready to submit it.

      * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
      * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
      * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

That's pretty sweet. What is the title of it?

I'd rather not say until all the legal stuff (copyright, ISBN, etc.) is taken care of. It is a teen fantasy fiction novel (what else would a 17-year-old write).
