  • Make Money With Ebay

There are many people who have made a lot of money buying and selling on Ebay. I am not talking about the many people who have made a few extra bucks selling old items from there attic. I mean people who make many sales everyday and earn a living from Ebay. The best way I see to make money on Ebay is to purchase Items in bulk that can be sold one at a time for profit. I have made money with sports rookie cards by buying a "lot" of a players cards and then reselling them individually. Many people want to collect there favorite players rookie card, but do not want to buy 20 of them. There are also people who have 20 of those cards but do not want to sell them and make 20 transactions. This is just an example of one method I have used to turn a profit on Ebay. With this method I found myself with a lot of work scanning every card and making many transactions but you can find your own way of profiting from Ebay by buying in bulk and selling on Ebay.

Ebay has gone downhill a lot, in the past few years they added a 10% final value fee, which they never used to have, as well as insertion fee's. It really makes it not worth it, in a lot of cases.

Ebay is a good source of income and the idea of buying items in bulk plus selling them individually suits it. Just be creative and clever in choosing those products to buy that in return would surely give you worth than what you've spend.

im still selling plants on ebay, i sell $75-$200 a week selling cuttings and bare roots from my back yard. the cost of my product is water and my time so i consider it a 100% profit, not making a killing by any means but its supplementing my retirement.

Do you have any advice on selling large amounts of used items? My business collects lots of old kitchen appliances (toasters, blenders, etc), that are pretty beat up but still perfectly serviceable. They're kind of piling up though, because I know if I try to pawn them or somesuch, I'll be lucky if I get a buck each for them.

I have a lot of old video games from the 1980s. I never sold them yet. I'm waiting for them to be worth something. You would think they would be worth a lot after 30 years since a lot of people just throw old games out. I guess there is still millions of them out there.

Ebay is not what it used to be. Every change they make is to put more money in their pockets and less in the sellers. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me. You mgiht want to look into ecrater.com as it has no fees. May I repeat, NO FEES.

I feel that eBay has changed, it's more money hungry than ever and unless something has a high profit margin you really aren't going to make much.

                      Just my 2 cents
You are right. While it would seem smart that anyone employed by ebay would be required to buy and sell maybe ten items to see how the system works, etc. They hire bigwigs that have never sold a thing on ebay and so have no idea of the work invovled to sell one thing much less lots of things and so they sit and dream up ways to squeeze more money out of the sellers which they forget are THEIR customers. They seem to think the buyers are their customers, but they are not. The buyers are the seller's customers. Anyhow they seem to be doing everything they can to make life difficult for sellers. I won't sell or buy there anymore.

I am also now leaning towards selling thingsvia websites such as Gumtree or even local facebook pages for second hand goods. It might be a little harder to sell but you keep every penny!
One of the reasons that I sell on ecrater. It is a free site so your only fee is for the money processing through PayPal and Google Checkout which isn't bad. Where I used to have fees for listing and final value fees at ebay of $800-900++/month!!! I didn't make money worth all thos fees. Trying to sell on ebay was problematic with the changes that they kept making. I make about the same on ecrater without paying fees. I have also this year been adding Amazon into the mix and while they do have fees, they also have the traffic. Our on line sales do come in very handy for our home.

My son is selling on ebay and doesn't seem to have much difficulty at this point, so I know that others are selling there without problems, but I think he only does auctions not having a store like I had. Because of what I sell, the best way to do it through a store format. One of the reasons that it is good to really think through what you are going to sell and what would be the best way to do it and then figure out which venue would be the best for that selling format. In some instances paying the selling fees may be worth it if you move your inventory that way. If you are only doing it for a hobby, you might be willing to wait for the sales and skip paying fees. It just all depends.

Another great way to make money through eBay is to use half.com which is a sister company of eBay. This site is geared more towards books, movies, DVDs, and things like that. If you children are in college this is a great place to not only save hundreds of dollars on books, but to sell their books for more money than any campus bookstore is willing to give your child for their barely used books.

I got through college selling things on ebay. I had found a good dropshipper that sold Playstation 3's for cheap. I made on average $125 profit on each sale and sold at least one a day. Although it is hard to find a good supplier, the payoff is worth it when you do.

Good for you! I take it that means you didn't leave college with $40-100,000 in debt!
