Advertisements on your car

I have seen this more and more recently, people driving around with advertisements on their car. I just saw one today, the car had McDonalds ads all over the doors and back of it. People are getting paid to drive around cars with ads - has anyone done this or heard how much money can be made from it?

I've heard of it before, where you basically sell "ad space" on your car. From what I heard, advertisers pay not only based on how large the ad is, but also based on how much and where you typically drive your car. It's an interesting idea, but I'd personally hate to be a rolling advertisement.

Couldn't a bumper sticker simply do the job? Then again, and this is just me, I have never called anyone or went to someone's website that was on their car.

Yeah I think the idea is it gets noticed the more panels of the car it is on.

I've seen a ton of cars and other vehicles with ads all over them. Several athletes and other personalities do this and add their name amongst the advertising and act as sort of a spokesperson.

It only spoils your car and no income though. Haven’t seen anyone making good amount from it, rather you would end up spoiling the pain of the car.

If you put advertisement on some old car it may pay off. But the tricky thing is that you may need to drive that car

Has anybody ever seen those Red Bull cars that look like there is a giant Red Bull can sticking out of it?

Are they paid to drive those cars, or is that a vehicle for employees or promoters of the product?

I'd like to second this -- I'm really curious how much money you can make from this. Would it be on an employer by employer basis? I imagine this has to be a special one-time deal.

I don't know, I just don't see myself driving a car with a big ass advertising on it, but that's just me. Depends on the amount of money to be made from this, though.
