Seniors often are in need of lots of help around the house, whether it's some odd repair job or just pruning the hedges. If you know your neighbors, they may be much more inclined to give you the job rather than hire a stranger. Let them know you're looking for work. To further sweeten the pot, offer a discount if they hire you, say 15% off of what they'd typically pay a professional. (If they don't know the going rate, then of course you should be prepared with a reasonable price.) Make it a win/win situation: your elderly neighbor gets a discount on what they'd otherwise pay someone to do something, and you get an opportunity to make some cash.

This is a great idea and what that my business is based on, although not necessarily for elderly only. There are websites that exist that help people like you such as taskrabbit.com and choreminion.comOriginally posted by PatientSaver View PostSeniors often are in need of lots of help around the house, whether it's some odd repair job or just pruning the hedges. Do Chores For An Elderly Neighbor
Just a thought. Everybody is trying to earn money. Take your kids over to an elderly neighbor's house and offer to do yard work for them. Teach your kids how much fun and rewarding it is to do something for someone else. You might be surprised how many people will give you money for doing it with such a servant's heart.
