only deal with locals...cash in hand at time of pick up or delivery...never a personal check, money order or cashiers check...never ship or accept shipping...if someone emails you asking if the 'item' is still available instead of specifying what the item is, its a scam...when you reply to the scam they will tell you how they should not but it now because their husband, brother, nephew or son just wrecked their jeep, van, suv or car, but they can pay for the damages in cash from the money they earn on their website...i have had alot of great experiences with using craigslist...good luck

You hit it right on the head, Craigslist is key. Buy items locally and then sell them on ebay. I place ads on craigslist offering to buy used or broken cell phones for cash and then throw them on ebay. As long as you do your research, there are plenty of phones that generate profit. Even 50 dollars profit @ 5 cell phones a week is an extra 1000 dollars a month! Almost passive income too.

An Idea For this

I use Craigslist a lot. So much so that I wrote a program and distribute it for free (no this is not spam, it is on topic). You said he checks free items daily which is what I started doing, as well as jobs, etc. But I got tired of the drudge of checking so I wrote an app to send notifications and alerts based on your saved searches.
