    Wow! I can't believe that...

    I was browsing one of the other forums today and came across a topic of this one person who went on a "Approval binge"...

    She/He was proud of the fact they made 19 inquries in 1 day and only recieved two "declines"... I am sorry, but how sick does one have to be to even attempt to do such a ridiculous thing, do they not realize how much it will actually hurt them in the long run, especially if they are foolish enough to actually use them...

    It's like a big competition over there and people are constantly competing as to who has more credit / more debt / higher credit scores, etc...

    I couldn't believe it, sorry for the rant but wow!

    Gosh, who would want anymore credit cards? You only need one.

        I read an article about a guy with plenty of money to live (meaning he felt he wouldn't need his credit) who went on a binge to see just how many he could get in how short a time...He got alot..

        I personally can see the 'gueness record' theory, but I'll pass.

          No idea, they have several of those posts over there, creditboards.com, almost like they are proud of doing it... And the sick part of it was people were praising them and sharing there stories like it was a Tuesday evening game of "Credit Approval"...

          It's quite ridiculous, and posting of credit scores, honestly, who really cares to share credit scores with complete strangers but only for an ego stroke.

          Anyways, my rant going in to the weekend...

              I've tried to get into that board, as well. Some things I like but I gotta wade through all the fico worshipping. If I'm really bored I'll go read but it hasn't been too much lately.

                Some of the people on the above forum are the very same way! And there is one person in particular that went on a credit card application frenzy like you described.
