  • Mortgage Forbearance Ending

I got Covid 19 the last of July 2020. It left me with a hard, rough cough and clearing my throat a lot.
April 2022 I coughed so hard I messed up a nerve in my back- the sciatic nerve that goes all down your leg.
The pain is awful. My doctor recommended a Chiropractor and it has helped.
    I can barely walk.

I'm 66 years old and am on Social Security that started before I got the nerve pain.
I found out you can't get disability if you're on social security.
I had worked full time my entire life. Then Covid hit.

Long story short- my mortgage forbearance is about to end. I was planning on working after retirement but Covid interfered.
Without working at least part time I can't make the payment amount they want me to pay.
I can't work yet as I can barely walk.

What's going to happen? My home is supposedly worth more than I owe but I certainly don't want to move.
Everything I read tells me I have long haulers Covid.
Why is there no help for those who got Covid with complications that last for...years?
Thank you for any help you can give me.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles.
I hear you when you say you don't want to move, but are you willing to consider it?

      Do you have any assets?
Have you talked to your lender about trying to work out some kind of a deal?
Is there anything you can do to raise money?
      Sell unwanted items?
Work a work from home job where you can comfortably sit?
You don't want to move, but it might be the only option.
