I got a notice today that Chase is closing one of our credit cards for inactivity. It hasn't had activity for at least two years, which is true.
What surprised me is the letter also said we can continue to use the card until it closes but using it will not prevent the account from closing. It says nothing about what to do it we want to maintain the account.
I really don't care as, obviously, we never use the account, primarily because when they opened it, they gave me a whopping $500 credit limit. I don't know what the heck they were thinking seeing as our other cards have mid 5-figure credit limits. A $500 credit limit was worthless. As a result, we've never used it.
