If I rented out the house from time to time would I deduct some cost of furnishings or other expenses as a business expense on my taxes? Probably more trouble than it's worth?

i'd probably use a used bar of soap, not much different than going over to a friend/family's house and using their shower. I just make sure to lather it up a lot before using it to remove the "dirty" layer

Can't believe I missed this thread the first time around. Congrats on the second home purchase and I hope its at the beach!

Considering it used to be a B&B is it still setup in that fashion? Is it worth looking at having someone run it as a B&B again for you?

I don't have any issue with not washing my hands after using the toilet, providing that my hands didn't become soiled in the act.

I DO wash my hands BEFORE using the toilet.
