  • Stimulus Debit Card, transferring to checking = EASY

    In case anyone was wondering,
You can easily transfer the money on your stimulus debit card to your bank accounts.
Just activate the card, set up a PIN, then take the card to your bank and ask them to pull the money off of it and transfer it to your checking/savings.
Easy, and no fees or hassle.
    I just did it today.

Did you get a second payment?

Good to know i was not looking forward to some debit card so a simple transfer would be better. And to Scallywags question there are a few of us that have NOT received anything YET.

If negotiators in Congress can agree on a new stimulus package this year, this is what a second round of payments could look like, using March's CARES Act as a guide.

This looks like a good article about what to do if you haven't gotten yours yet, and it's from yesterday so it's up to date.

This is the first and only $1200 payment.
It took me a long time to get it because I don't have direct deposit set up with the IRS.
Apparently they stopped with the paper checks and started issuing debit cards.

Thank you I have tried to use the IRS website but there seems to be a glitch or something just keeps coming back with try again.
We do not have a direct deposit set up so ours i expected to take longer when i clicked on that link it says could take 20 weeks to get to every one so if some got it in mid april add 20 weeks takes it to September so i guess there is plenty of time left.... we do not really need it but imagine that some people who DO need it have not received it yet.

It really isn't helpful for those of us who use the IRS.gov tool to check the status of our payment and get a message saying info is not available. The phone line has not been helpful either.
