Has anyone ever incorporated abroad?

I was reading about this for fun the other day. Apparently a person can incorporate a business in Hong Kong and get far more tax write-offs than if starting a US company. Yes, all income must be reported on US taxes but the breaks are more significant. Like, writing off your home and car as business expenses..
