Many places use FICO scores. An employer, for example. Renting a house or apartment.
Today, I received a homeowners insurance renewal which said the rate was based on a credit-based insurance score...

I just got my new Discover It card in the mail - they also included my FICO score (804). I was looking for a better credit card anyway, so the timing was right.

I was just looking at our accounts again to sign up for the 2nd quarter bonuses. My wife's score went up to 846 and mine is 847. I wonder if one can actually get a perfect 850.

        * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
        * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?

My wife's statement came today. Her score went up from 846 to 849. So close but still not a perfect 850.

Is there a reason you care about an 850 score, other than just for general amusement? I am not being snarky, but really curious is there a benefit. Personally I don't care about mine, and it just came from the IT card as 815. It could go down to 750 and I wouldn't blink an eye over it.
Don't torture yourself, thats what I'm here for.

Absolutely not. I just think it would be neat to see. It has no bearing at all on anything.
