You are probably better off going to Vegas and gambling with the money.

"Penny stocks" and "Invest" should never be used in the same sentence.

Brian is absolutely right. The odds on many casino games are far, far better than the odds of making money with penny stocks. If you actually want to invest, tell us more about your situation and we can give you some real investing advice.

When I was in my early 20's I tried doing the penny stock game thinking I could get rich quick. Ended up losing $700 from a $10k gamble (notice I said gamble and not investment.) I was actually lucky to only lose that much. In terms of penny stock, losing 7% is kind of like winning when you deal with that crap.

It only took me 1 time of doing something like that to do a 180 and educate myself in finances.

Agreed, its a good way to gamble a way all of your money. At least in Vegas you can lose all your money while having some fun. If you have some funds saved up, invest them in long-term, reliable stocks where you're (closer to) guaranteed to get returns. Invest more into retirement as well, especially if your company matches.

For long-term stock your best bet is to go with company stock if you can (you probably get a discount), and do your research for anything else. I personally have GE stock that does well and is stable, there are many other options though that would be great over any penny stock.
