That's great, congrats on the job. Now that you've got an income, you need to address how you're spending that income.

You haven't told us much, so for now I'll give you two general pieces of advice:
    1) Save FIRST, before you start spending anything. Every paycheck, as soon as you get paid, send $50 or $100 or whatever to a separate savings account that you don't touch. This will help you get started along the savings mindset.

    2) Keep track of every penny that you spend. $30 for gas? write it down. $5 for lunch? write it down. $0.75 for a soda? write it down. At the end of the month, tally everything up and take a hard look at where you're spending your money. You might be surprised. Once you know how you're spending your money, you can take positive steps toward reigning in your spending, which will make it easier to save even more money.

Last note: Ask questions. We're all happy to help and give you as much advice as you need. Also remember, though, that all the advice in the world won't do you any good if you don't implement it. Follow the advice you get, and you can be successful.

You have to compute first whether you are really earning or not. To know this, simply subtract your basic expenses including food, fare, laundry, toiletries and other personal needs and allowance on your salary. If you still find a difference between the two, then, save it.

It is up to you whether you want to put it in the bank or let it sit under your bed or whatnot.

Deposit your part-time paycheck into a savings account and pretend it is not there. The End. That is all there really is to it.

Otherwise, agree with kork. If this is not working, write down all of your spending and try to work through any psychological triggers. Writing it down is excellent advice as it may just clarify spending patterns and so on.

It’s really not easy to work so hard and specially when you have nothing to save around, but I appreciate you not to adopt any kind of illegal path to earn.

Formulate a budget for yourself. This will help you in controlling your expenses and you will be able to have free money in your hand which will increase your savings.

In my opinion the best way to save money is to put it on a savings bank. I believe that if you have your money with you'll going to spend it even its not really that necessary to buy. When you received your salary you should budget it until the next pay day.

                  1. Did you get a part-time to to help you pay your bills you are unable to meet?
                  2. If you don't need the part-time job to meet bills then save the whole check.
                  3. If you are able to sign up for 401k with the part-time job do so.
                  4. Set a goal how long you will be working at the part-time job and how much you want to save while working there.
                  5. Is working at the part-time job worth it? Are you able to save the way you want. Are you too tired to do what is needed to be done. Making Money is Great but don't like Money make you.

You'll need to post more details if you want to receive any real help.

You need to post up your monthly budget so others can take a look and help you out.
