Closing cost added to loan

Hello everyone,

is it ever a good idea to add closing cost to the loan amount? I know in the long run you end up paying more then if you were able to pay upfront.

I think that in most cases if you have to add closing costs to your loan, you have taken out a bigger loan than you should have.
