  • Info about personal finance in Europe

    Hello!

I just read the book by Ramit Sethi about PF, and got the impression than many of the tips he gives are valid only for US residents. I live in Europe, though.
I have no idea about the differences between US and Europe when it comes to this.
Could anybody give some tip in the form of books to read, guides, or info sources specially crafted for Europe? I live in Spain, are there strong differences from country to country? Just where can I even begin getting useful info about all this?

    Thanks guys

    Luis

I'm guessing the library will have a wide range of books on personal finance. The laws, rules and financial system is totally different country to country. The basics of live below your means, spend less, save more, don't use shopping for entertainment are valid. What percentage of income goes to savings, needs and wants? Do you have a defined pension from your employer? What percentage of your income is spent on health care and their premiums? Do you rely on public transportation or operate your own vehicle 100%? How much debt are you comfortable with?
