Is it true if you applied for mortgage, you will get a copy of the credit report in any state?

Credit reports are national. it doesn't matter what state you are in.

If you are denied a loan/mortgage application, you are entitled to copies of the credit reports the lender used in their assessment. From myfico.com regarding the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):

You have the right to a free copy of your credit report when your application is denied because of information supplied by the credit bureau. Your request must be made within 60 days of receiving your denial notice.
        Hope this helps!

You can request your credit report once each year from the credit agencies.

We can't find the page you're looking for. It might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

just copy and paste the link

When I bought my house, the mortgage company provided me a copy of my credit report. I'm not sure if they're required to do that or not, but I did appreciate them showing me what they were basing my mortgage off of.

Thank you!. I informed the broker about this and he sent me a copy of it. He did send it via email and I was not okay with that even though it was password protected.

It is your credit report. So, you can claim it irrespective of whichever state you live in.

Why are posts like this even allowed? We need some sort of policing.
