No credit, but how much? depends on what you call treats, tecnically my super hot shower is a treat (and Iove it!) But in todays world:

Eating out is a 'treat' high quality meat is just food. (I rather enjoyed that though, found on sale)

A movie out is a 'treat' TV is a neccessity, (I get three 'local' channels, I splurge on watching them most nights)

Sugary snacks are a lunch neccessity, not sure if/when that becomes a 'treat'?

I could go on, but you get the picture, I have come to realize that most of my life is 'treats' I am spoiled, I am not giving it up, but I will be reminding myself how pampered I am! (It is good to be pampered!)

A broad question, as it is. I guess I spend lots, but the things I consider treats are usually bigger sorts of items these days. I've got everything I need..........except a great master suite in this house, so I'm "treating" myself to a remodel. So, thousands would be the answer for this year for me. And, no, none of it is on a CC, I've got money left over from a real estate deal that I earmarked for this project.

To me treats are foods that I probably should not have. One thing we spend a lot on is diet sprite, about $8 a week. We both like mixed drinks in the evening with dinner, and diet sprite is the only diet drink we both can stand. Plus my husband takes a can or two for lunch every day. I usually buy two 12 packs a week. Several months ago, they went on sale for 4 packs for $10. I stocked up on all I could get, so I don't have to buy any for about a month. We do take our can diet sprite when we eat out, so we don't have to pay for a drink every night.

On things that I don't need but do buy in the way of food and drinks about $5 per week. I will have ice cream cone with a free senior discount coffee when I go to the city, this little treat cost about 30- 50c each time. A very rare milkshake when I am out shopping. I also buy special health bars to carry in my handbag that cost about 40c each so I don't go and buy junk food that is expensive and not healthy.

I also spend some money on sugar free candy and cookies. For some reason, the sugar free low fat food costs twice as much or more than regular. I also like that hood low carb choc milk. It is about $3.50 and lasts me a month.

I've spent some, but not a lot. I bought Dance Dance Revolution for xbox and that's kind of a treat, but also is exercise. I've eaten out twice in the last couple of weeks. I'd say that I've spend less than $200 on "treats" since the beginning of the year.

My strategy is to pay all of my bills (mortgage, utilities) and my savings first, and use what is leftover (usually about $600 a month for groceries and fun money). If I've spent too much on DDR, then I'll be eating from my pantry for a week or so. From the looks of things, I'll be fine.

I spend about 3 thousand dollars a year on treats for me that is my vacation and I always
pay with money I have saved especially for that.

Not much really. A treat for me is eating out myseslf for lunch, at a chinese p lace or Boston Market, instead of eating lunch at home. Might do it once a month.

Princess, so on target here. So much of what's in my life is a treat, and it's good to be reminded. Hot baths, cocoa, non-cable TV, a computer to see message boardfs on......

I pay in cash to treat myself to a favourite perfume or a manicure & spa pedicure. CJ's treats are alos paid for in cash. Nothing is ever charged except specific monthly expenses, and those charges are paid in full every month.

Hubby and I each have $100 per month 'mad money' allowance. He spends his on bowling league fees and I spend mine mostly on the kids. I don't desire much beyond the occasional coffee and muffin from the drive-thru.

Our biggest treat is going out to eat every evening. When I was a teen, working in a restaurant, I use to see a couple come into to eat every night. They seemed so happy to be spending time together. That is the way I feel at night.
We don't go to movies, concerts, or anything like that. dining out is our treat.

Probably spend about $10 a wk on sugarfree hard candy. Sounds like a lot but I eat these ever since I quit smoking so I am still saving money.
