My work offers life insurance on my wife of $50,000 for 0.60 cents per week. Should get this or look outside of what they offer?

Do both. For $31/year, take the 50K from work. However, that's not enough coverage and it isn't portable if she leaves the job so you need other insurance anyway. Get a good term policy for 8-10 times her income with a 20 or 30 year term.Originally posted by skives View PostSteve

Definitely supplement outside of work. You should have 10-15x your salary in life insurance in a good 20 year term life agreementComment
