  • Which fund for Fidelity 401k ?

There are about 50 Fidelity 401k plans. I am obviously interested in the one which has been the most profitable and focuses on higher risk options because I am 24 years old.

Who has a 401k with Fidelity and what APYs have you been seeing with your 401k plan?

    Thanks!

You know they always have to say "past performance does not predict future results" right? Do you know why they're required to say that?

Because people pick the best performing plan then get upset when it doesn't do as well.

Rather than pick the highest performing fund over the past year, you should choose a proper asset allocation for your risk tolerance and time horizon. You should prob be pretty aggressive. Maybe 70% domestic stocks and 30% international stocks.

You need to break it down in more detail than that: domestic vs. international; large cap vs. mid cap vs. small cap; etc. Or you can go really simple with a Total US Stock index and a Total International Stock index and be done with it. It all depends on how detailed you want to get.

If you just go with your age based plan you should be plenty aggressive since it will be mostly invested in stocks and few bonds and no income funds.

Yeah I'll probably end up doing the target 2055 fund for now
