  • Where can I find how much I paid on real estate taxes (To the state)?

I went and found my city tax bite but can not locate the website that shows what I paid to the state?

As many of you know my house is PIF so I pay this tax myself, it is not in any sort of escrow.

Anyone know where I can go to find how much I paid?

    Thanks,
    Ray

Your state should have a website for their state treasury office. I'd check there first.

If you paid the tax, can't you just check your account statement?
In NJ, we get a tax statement twice a year showing our tax bill.

I believe you can do this. In my understanding, any payment made will instantly update your statement of account so if ever you will have any question then you can easily check it there.

I meant to just check your bank statement. If you paid the tax, you must know how much you paid. Either you wrote a check or did an electronic transfer from your account and must have a record of that.

Check your tax statements. If it isn't in their website go to your local municipality and verify. Just be sure to bring the receipts of your tax payments.

I paid with cash this last year. Truthfully, I don't have any checks, haven't for years. The receipts are somewhere in the house... Somewhere. I need a new plan to my tax paperwork this year.

I searched for about two hours before I posted this thread... Literately two minutes after I posted this thread, I found the right site.

I am happy to report that my 2011 taxes are done. I did not receive a return, I paid an additional $1,397 (This guy does not give free loans to the government).
