Quicken 2012 who uses it

Recently bought quicken 2012 deluxe to help track my spending. Wondering if any of you use it and what your thoughts are on it. Looks like it does alot of cool things and should be pretty helpful but it also does some things in ways that just frustrate me.

Most recent version I've used is 2010. Been using quicken for probably at least 10 years.

However, I started using mint.com 18 months ago, and I honestly don't have a need for Quicken any more.

I also use Mint, and because of Mint, I see no need for Quicken.

I would be interested to hear what people have to say about Quicken, and specifically why they choose to use it over Mint.

Are you able to manualy enter your data on mint. When I was looking at it it look to me like you had to link it to all your online accounts and im not comfortable doing that.

Yes, you can manually enter data. However, having data pulled automagically from all your accounts is the true power of mint.com.

If the security aspect bothers you, then you may want to use Quicken instead, although whenever you update your accounts, your financial data will still be sent across the internet.

I've been using Quicken for years and upgraded 2011 [Premier] to download my brokerage and retirement accounts. On Sunday I bought a new program [iBank4] for my MacBook. If you have a self directed brokerage a/c Quicken is terrific. If you're wanting to see where the money goes...Quicken is efficient so long as you are willing to spend 15 minutes each payday to download and review the numbers.
