My Personal Favorites are:


Citi dividend - 5% back on department stores, clothing, toys and electronics for this quarter. Basically, almost everything you will be buying for the holidays. There is a limit of $300 of rewards per calender year.

Discover - 5% at restaurants, department stores and clothing stores for this quarter. You can only get 5% on $300 of purchases

Chase Freedom - 5% at restaurants, department stores, movie theaters, and charities (not clothing stores) for this quarter. You can only get 5% on $1,500 of purchases

Amex Blue Cash Preferred - 6% at groceries for the all the food. Does have a $75 annual fee.

It seems you already have sorted out the best credit cards offers that most credit card companies have provided. However, how about traveling during the holidays? The best credit cards for holiday travels are American Express JetBlue Card and Southwest Airlines VISA signature card. Enjoy your holidays.

I think discover has a 2% back on everything recently.

The new Halifax deal is the Clarity card, and it's one of the few credit cards not to charge customers for withdrawing money from a hole in the wall. Most credit cards charge a 2.5pc fee on all cash withdrawals (both in Britain and abroad), as well as levying a higher interest rate, usually 20pc or more.

I think discover has a 2% back on everything recently.

My understanding was that discover was giving 2% back at Amazon only, not everywhere but I may be wrong.

Thanks for the idea about traveling. I also like the penfed amex premium travel rewards card - 5 points on every travel purchase.

The Citi Diamond Preferred Card is offering $200 cash back in the form of a statement credit after you spend $500 in online purchases during the first 3 months. Beyond the signup bonus, it's not that great of a card, but it has no annual fee so you can always just score the $200 and then shelf the card or close it 6-12 months down the road. A 40% return on your spend isn't a bad deal for a no annual fee credit card.
