Yeah, taxes are a real wheeze. Dunno why they're quoting Plato like he's a learned mind. I always thought his views were something of a joke since Karl Popper debunked his theories on society. A bit like quoting Sigmund Freud as an authority on psychology.

I once read a quote from a tax judge that basically said if you pay even a penny more than you're legally obligated to do so you can be more just, you're stupid.

Of course I totally paraphrased that.
