Hopefully, you won't find this thread too self-serving, but I'd like to know how people interested in personal finance view insurance.
How often does everyone shop their auto &/or homeowners insurance? Do you stick with the same company because you trust them, or do you shop often to find the best rate?
Are you sure you have adequate coverage? Do you know what is excluded from your insurance coverage?
How often do you review your insurance needs with your insurance company/agent?
It's human nature to think bad things will not happen to you, and a lot of people do not realize they don't have proper coverage until they have a claim.
We are all interested in building wealth, but how many of us are putting any thought into how to protect their wealth properly with the prudent use of insurance?
If you own a home, do you know if you have adequate insurance to rebuild you home? Have you considered the likelihood of damage to your home from flood, earthquake, or mudslide? Are you covered for these events?
Do people waste their money buying too much insurance, or buying insurance coverage they do not need?
