  • Credit Score, Tracking, Everything I've Found Out

So I've done some more research since I posted last time, and I thought I'd post up my results. Maybe this will help someone else and save them some research time.

FICO scores can only be purchased at myfico dot com and you can only get your Transunion and Equifax Score.

creditkarma dot com- Soft pulls will update score daily. Reports Transrisk scores. This site pulls from transunion and uses there version of scoring. NOT A FICO, but still worth taking a look at. Will also provide you with a Vantage Score and Car Insurance Score.

Quizzle dot com- Gives you a free credit report pulled from experian every 180 days, or twice a year. Also using a NON Fico score generated from your Experian Report.

Credit Sesame dot com- Also gives you a non FICO score generated from your experian credit report. This score can be updated every 30 days.

My personal favorite paid credit monitoring comes from USAA dot come. Their credit monitoring updates your Experian credit report daily and gives you Experian based scores.

Credit dot com- Gives you a non FICO scores generated from your Equifax credit report. Updates every 30 days, and gives you ESTIMATES on your FICO score, VantageScore, PlusScore, TransUnion Score, CreditXpert Score

If anyone is curious as to how these play out I can list how close mine are, but keep in mind these are FAKE scores so how different they are from your FICO may be different from mine.

    TRANSUNION OFFICIAL FICO (bought): 667
    CreditKarma Transrisk Score: 661

Do not have an official Experian Score, as it can not be purchased, but I'll list the details from sites just for comparison sake:
    Quizzle: 693
    CreditSesame: 687
    USAA Credit Check Monitoring: 705

    EQUIFAX OFFICIAL FICO (bought): 663

Hope some of this information might help.

Nice summary Kaleigh, thanks! Just one thing I want to emphasize:

Anytime YOU pull YOUR score, it is a "soft hit" and you do NOT lose points. But if your score is pulled by a credit card company, auto loan, etc, it is a "hard hit" and it WILL affect your score.

Oh, and also, keep in mind that these scores are general...but if you apply for an auto loan, for example, the score they get might be a bit different because it's weighted to your car experience. Same for housing, etc. But the myfico.com scores are legit, use them when shopping around for new credit.
