I have a Roth that is being moved to TD Ameritrade by my advisor. We got the welcome letter and it says TD Ameritrade Institutional. How is that different than regular TD Ameritrade? Is it just as good, more fees?

Background: TD is one of the highest ranking banks in Canada and has operated a very successful brokerage since the government eliminated the 'arms length' rule. They expanded to the USA in 2006 by buying an American Brokerage and are known for their innovative, customer friendly, on-line brokerage service. The Institutional service means you can hold anyone's financial product and all licensed financial agents will continue to get their commissions and trailer fees. This is usually a smooth transition for the client. You might like to watch your a/c on-line to track your progress
