I have one through my company and am critical about my credit score. So I decided to call AMEX and speak with them about this. I was informed (and has been confirmed) the Corporate Card does NOT affect your credit report even when you first go into collections. AMEX knows who/how these cards.

Being late on a payment for your personal card is different than being late on your corporate card.

On top of it, I have had my card for nearly 2 years and never had a problem.
Dude you need to read #5 and #8, which states clearly your liability that Amex will come after you and your company isn't liable unless the card is setup as joint then you both are liable, #8 states the late fees they will charge to you. It's all in their agreement. I spoke to their business corporate personal and if you are 45 days from the statement date and your company doesn't reimburse you then they won't come after you, but they will go after the company and after 180 days and you go to collections it will show up on your personal credit card. That is a fact jack!

negatives MAY show up on your credit report but the card does not when in good standing. i have not asked or know of anyone who has been penalized for late payment on their corporate account.

I'm just reading their agreement and it clearly states the late payment issue.

haha calm down "fact Jack" buddy. That is cute, my 2 year old niece says the same thing.

First of all, getting to the negatives showing up on your statement - in order for a negative to reach your credit score you have to be into collections, which would be a 180 days. If you are as "responsible" as you say you are, you will have not let this get to that point and would have filed against the company regarding those expenses. If you are in the process of fighting these charges with your company and send in verification to AMEX they will even postpone them placing negatives on your card for an additional time period.

Second, once they go after your company within the 45 days you can file against the company for expenses as long as you are able to throughly prove the expenses are related to business. Like I mentioned before I have used my card for nearly 2 years and have quite a large balance at the end of each month. Again NEVER had a problem with my company nor AMEX because the card is used for what it is suppose to be used for. The other thing that occurs (that I was told from the manager) is if the card goes into collections and the company has a number of other corporate cards with AMEX they will place freezes on the others until they receive payments.

After reading your first post I assume you have NO idea nor have ever used a AMEX Corporate Card. Also from your "fact Jack" comment I find it hard to believe you are mature and responsible enough to use the card. I am incredibly particular about my credit score and have yet to have an issue with either one.

Exactly! It will show up on your credit report if it isn't paid. What if the company goes bankrupt?

What if the company folds? Companies do go bankrupt and close their doors. (Ultimate Electronics, block buster, etc...)

I'm just reading the actual agreement, you can't dispute the agreement. I like to use humor in my posts, sorry! Sarcasm, it's a saying that's used. Again humor! Also, why would I use a cc like Amex, I use cash for everything except my wife uses a Discover card for gas, cash works just fine.
