Should Emergency Funds include debt payments?

I think you would still need to include that one in the calculation. It is still a part of her finances after all.

I included my debt payments when I came up with the amount for my emergency fund. Once I get it where it needs to be, I'll raise my goal even more.

I think that the bottom line is that just think about what you would have to pay. I also include some Home Maintenance in a separate account along with a car maintenance account.
