Turbo Tax

I use Turbo Tax every year. I buy the disc at the store & install. If I go to TT's website, it is cheaper to use it there. My question is, do I get to download the program to my pc or am I just using it on their site?

I believe you're just using it on their website. But then, do you normally need to use the TT program more than once/year? If you're self-employed and make quarterly estimated tax payments, I can see the desire to have ready access to it, but otherwise...?

Do you have an account at Vanguard? If so, you may be able to get TT through Vanguard for even less than going through the TT web site:

I file each year using TT and get a discount (via hyperlink) through BoA and just use their site.

I tried to use their disk for budget purposes and it wasn't intended to be used on a netbook (small laptop) so it was useless and sense I opened it, I could not return it.

But before I was going to return it, I found the UI to be very UN-user friendly, but that's just my experience.
