  • Verizon Pre-Paid Cell Phone

I like to ask if anyone knows whether or not Verizon offer Pre-Paid cellphone plan where the minutes don't expire or have very long expiration date. We currently have a family plan costing 72 dollars a month for 3 lines, which we don't really use much but since we don't have home phone, it is a must have option for 2 lines. The third line is for my mom to keep in case of emergency.

I don't mind buying a big phone card, even if costing about 100 dollars as long as the expiration data is roughly a year or never expire. Additionally, I would like to avoid surge charge, connection fee, etc that are notoriously with fly-by-night cards I use in the 90s and early 2000s.

Check out Page Plus. I probably use about 150 minutes/month and pay about $7. I buy the $80 - 2000 minute card from Kitty Wireless(Page Plus supplier) and it should last me a whole year. It is no contract and they use the Verizon network. If you use a phone just for emergencies you could probably get by with paying as little as $3.

Cool. I check that out. I use cellphone for emergency as well as important communcation with people. Service reliability is a plus. So no AT&T, Cingular, or Virgin Mobil for me.
