I'm thinking of getting my mom a mac. She currently has a pc and is running an older version of Quicken. We could put Quicken for Windows on a mac using a virtual machine, but I think that might be a bit confusing for her to use. So, the alternative is to use Quicken for Mac. I've seen some less than stellar reviews, but I'd love to hear if someone here is using it. If so, what are your thoughts? What are the pros/cons to this version? She uses it primarily as a replacement to her checkbook, but I use it when I do her taxes and other related things.
