    Real Estate Investment Trusts [REITS]are very popular here. I am watching FTSE EPRA/NAREIT [Nasdaq] as my next investment but the price/earning ratio [P/E] is a bit higher than my tolerance. If anyone has taken that plunge, could you please comment.

      I own CSRSX. I've had it for years. 1-year return is 41.86%. 10-year return is 11.97%. It has beat the S&P 500 for YTD, 1, 3, 5 and 10-year periods so even with the real estate bubble and crash, it has been a good place to have part of your portfolio.

        Many active people find condos or townhomes a great alternative to a house and in this down market a terrific real estate investment!
