  • Celebrate the small steps.

My wife, a stay-at-home mom, and part-time free-lancer, received a $2,600 free-lance check last Thursday. This week end, we paid off all of our outstanding bills ($1,100 property taxes, $550 surveyor bill, $171 car registration and $43 water bill). We applied the balance to a credit card. That credit card now has a balance of less than $1,100. We're beginning to make head way!

That's awesome...gotta love freelance work! Best of luck tackling the rest of that credit card balance too. Once it's gone, vow to never let it return again :-).

So nobody gets the wrong idea ... We have four other credit cards in addition to the one I mentioned. The combined balance on all four cards is $20,000+. Indeed, this was a small step in the right direction.

WAY TO GO Bob, It is good to come here and hear people making positive steps. Have to learn to crawl before you walk, but great first steps.
