If you have enough money to buy a house after undergrad, why don't you just pay for your med school in cash so you don't have to take out loans?

Gah I wrote a big post and it disappeared into the ether! Here is summary:

      1. Bill don't help. Get a student credit card w/ no fees and pay it off every month.
      2. Credit cards don't hurt people, people hurt people.
      3. Get your credit report (not score) from annualcreditreport.com for free. This is goverment service. Get 1 agency every 4 months by rotating through the 3 agency annual reports.
      4. Estimate credit score w/ online calculator at myfico.net (com?)
      5. Student loans aren't bad if 1) they are subsidized (no interest until after grad school) and 2) you don't spend it all.
