    Hey all, Im not sure if you know but I heard that the bk law for chapter 7 and 13 might be pushed back now instead of the new changes taking affect on Oct. 17th. However I think it should take effect sooner rather than later. I think its great that people will have to try credit counseling or do a budget analysis before they can file for bk. Thats what credit counselors are there for, they want to help you so you dont need to file bk. Anyways, just wanted to share my thoughts.

    I've not heard this. From every atty I've talked to the date is still Oct 16th. JMHO!

      It may be pushed back for victims of the hurricane.

        Really, I haven't heard that but that would seem fitting as many have lost EVERYTHING. It's the least we can do. How can we find out for sure?

          If you have access to the Congressional Legislative Service, you can monitor what legislation passes in what committee in which house.
