  • finance software for teen

I'm looking for a finance software for my teen. I like Mint's ability to download his transactions (he hates having to manually input them). But it doesn't look like it gives you the ability to reconcile each month. I think that is important for him to see each transaction that goes out and to verify it that it is correct.

    Any ideas on other software?

Quicken allows automatic downloads and reconciliation. I expect that MS Money does as well. It's $20 or $30 to buy the software, but does a good job. Alternately, I prefer simply using an excel spreadsheet... But then, that is admittedly a more manually-intensive method.

I have never heard about of such kinda software for teens is available. I think that the software will surely help a lot of teens to plan their financial needs and help to maintain their standards.

        Basics

Excel tracker and the envelop system.

This will provide the opportunity to reconcile the accounts once a week and the freedom to spend without tracking every cent that moves. This will also allow the opportunity to pracice budgeting.

        Just my opinion,
        Ray

I use MS Money Plus and love it. I moved from Quicken because I did not like there habit of always updating and making you buy the "newest" version. That being said though MS is no longer supporting the Money program, I don't even think you can buy it anymore.
