stop eating out fr dinner completely. stop eating out for lunch completely. You can cook in bulk (or your gf can cook if she is the cook in the family) and freeze. If you really want to clear this mess up , you must forget the mentality of buying anything you want as long as it doesn't cost too much. Individual thigns don't but the cost piles up as you discovered. Also, don't buy TV dinners. Aside from being unhealthy they are 3 times more expensive then buying same piece of meat and pasta and cooking them. You pay dearly for convenience of microwaving. Shop sales, shop store brands, shop with coupons. Also, for meat its great to shop in warehouse clubs like Costco and just freeze all meat in individual portions.

Our DSL cost $25/month. There are certainly other high-speed options out there. I'd start looking around. Internet is for livelihood, TV could certainly live without.
Prepaid cell phones are another option mentioned.
Work on the food budget.
You have an opportunity to save hundreds per month with these actions.

* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?

I would have to break my contract with sprint to get a prepaid setup. I found out today my company offers a 20% discount on Sprint so I got setup with that this morning. I also meant to mention about the grocery bill being kinda kinda high is partly because my g/f has Celiac disease which mean she has to get all her food gluten free. TV dinners and many other gluten free alternatives are much more expensive. We try to cook as often as we can but I have been working late past month and she studies 24/7. She is in her 2nd year of Pharmacy school to get her Dr Degree. I have managed to make some pretty big cuts. Oh and as far as internet goes I can find cheaper solutions all day long but they cut the speed to the point my remote service will drag. This I would be ok with ... the CEO of my company I support would not. Keep in mind there are several stages of high speed. What is high speed for you may not work for me. I am trying to see if I can get some sort of kick back for the internet im paying for.Last edited by Copyright; 09-23-2009, 09:34 AM.
