I recently tried to apply for a student credit card and was denied due to bad credit. I should have no credit, and am worried that some of my dad's bad credit (i am a Jr) may have showed up for me. What is the best and cheapest way to go about checking my credit score? I tried freecreditreport.com, and it seemed a bit sketchy. Any advice?

jeffrey is correct. You don't need to check your credit score. You need to check your credit REPORT. You can do that for free at the site given.Steve

Check your credit report at the link given above and if you see anything negative in your report that is incorrect then be sure to dispute it.Comment
