ok, it is done, my house is listed and I get at least one visitor each day while I am there, plus I don'r know if I get visits during the day.
I decided I am renting a house from a private party, a broker works only with financially sound owners that she pre-screens, she has had no problems.
These are owners that bought at fixed rate pre-contruction, They have always rented the houses. There are not that many but she always have 5-7 on her listing for my area.
I am sending the link to my friends in case they know someone that could be interested.
Meanwhile I am officially 30 days late. Next week I would be 60 days late but will still be 30 because I am sending them the difference that I was short for last month. ($645)
I am supoused to stop payments all together because I need to gather the $2000 to retain the lawyer. However a friend is offering me to buy a membership to legal services for $30 a month, with the right to cancel at any time. If I like their firm I will do that. I've tried this type of services before and got bad service. But If I can save me $2000 I am willing to give them a second chance.
It is very tough letting go of the house, it was the very first house I bought and my son was born on it. Plus so many memories, 7 years.
Any advise on letting go on ones home and adjusting back to life as a renter?
