Hello everyone I been out of work for 4 months due to financial crisis. I had an em fund set up which paid for 3 months of bills. I then had ask my parents for assistance. I live at home and I am 22. I just started back and my bills are due I only been paid a weeks wage which will not cover the months bills so my parents had to help me again. I feel do helpless I know I have a new job and a chance to save but I feel so bad having to ask for help am I that terrible?

Don't beat yourself up about it. Look at the positives. You are only 22 and had a 3-month EF in place. There are millions of Americans who are older and farther along in their careers who can't say the same thing. You are still living at home which means your expenses are probably minimal. Be glad this didn't happen when you had a mortgage and taxes and utilities to pay. And be grateful that you had parents ready and wiling to help you out. Finally, be glad that it only took you 4 months to find work. Lots of people who lost jobs have been out far longer than that.
Now, just hunker down, keep spending to a minimum and rebuild your savings (and repay your parents).Steve
* Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
* Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
* There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

I'll fourth.
You sound like a responsible young man. You will get past this and pay back your parents and in doing so will reinforce their confidence in you.
Can't tell you how many "kids" take advantage of "help" from their parents with no gratitude, remorse, or thoughts of paying them back. Many have an attitude of entitlement which you don't sound like you have at all.
Be glad for your blessings and especially for your parents.
Congratulations on the new job!
