I haven't found anymore besides Metlife and ING Direct I am getting ready to close out ING and put my money in E-migrant and after the 3 month period for Metlife I will close after I get my $50 bonus. I am in search of new Free money.

I opened a new checking account from Chase/Bank One this weekend and got $100, but in order to get the money, I have to have direct deposit within 2 months.

Direct deposit requirements are awful for those who work for sole proprietors who cannot afford to set up Direct Deposit with their banks. But get what you can!

If you use Nesteggz (a free rebate site) you can get $50 for signing up at Netbank. Only need $500 for 6 months.

There are a ton of offers out there! Fatwallet.com is a great source. Check out this link: http://www.fatwallet.com/t/52/341601/ and also just surf around their finance forum, because some people start new threads for each offer instead of posting them on this one. Also, keep an eye out in your local paper for new branch openings (our new Chase branch was giving $100 for a new checking account during its grand opening). Regarding the direct deposit problem, some banks will accept paypal/ING deposits as a direct deposit. I think there's another thread on fatwallet that lists banks that do this. Good luck!

Just got a letter from Bank of America. They are taking a cue from ING and paying $25 for for new referred customers opening a checking account. They'll give you $10 more for a opening a savings account, an additional $25 for a credit card, and an additional $25 for something called a SafeSend® Transfer Card.

UFB offers $25 when you open an account with $200 by Aug 31, 2005. Money has to remain for 120 days.

one of the best parts of being a college student is the amount of free offers you recieve. Since ive started school, ive opened a chase/bankone checking account with a 50$ bonus, then i referred 3 friends which gave me 10$ a piece. Washington mutual was by the campus and gave 100$ for opening a checking and savings account (just got my 100 check yesterday after 3 weeks). of course, opened ing direct account and got that money. not too shabby for the first 2 months of school. actually wondering whether it would work to close all my accounts after the required three month period and repeating the process in the spring. the odd thing is that there has yet to be any representative from a credit card company here yet
