Wow.. What a crappy card. $3.95 internet access fee! ROFLMAO They want you to save them money by NOT making them send you a paper statement, but oh yea! You need to pay then for helping THEM save money. That is synonomous to having to PAY the damn phone company NOT to print your number in their book. I'm saving them money but have to pay.

when I first applied credit card (many years ago), I got 2 totally different offer. One is similar to the one you mentioned, all kinds of fee to use it. the other one does not have any fee, and lower rate, and they send me a gift for applying it,

this makes me think how do these card companies decide the offer? why so much difference?

Citibank used to send stuff to us. I called them and told them that I live sort of rural and people steal our mail all the time. I requested that they quit sending things and do things by email instead. They did quit sending things.

I think a secured credit card offer would be better than this to build credit

This type of offer wouldn't even exist today under the new credit card rules Obama signed into law last year.

Of course, First Premier does still cater to the "absolutely horrible credit so I can't get approved for any other type of card but I want to rebuild my credit history" type of consumer.

They just can't charge fees exceeding 25% of the available credit limit given during the first year anymore, excluding a few fees like late or insufficient funds fees.

A fee to check your bill online???? Unbelievable. That's really the icing on the cake after that long list of predatory fees.
