Quick tax question

I have been working at my current job all of 2008, but today is my last day. I start a new job on Monday, and get my first paycheck January 7th. Does that income go on my 2008 taxes because the paycheck is for Dec 16th-31st or not because I didn't actually get it until 2009?

It goes according to when you get your paycheck. Your paycheck you receive on 1/7/09 will count for 2009 taxes.
