I've been carless since April. I didn't want to buy a car until I really wanted to buy a car if you know what I mean. I've done zipcar, cabs, biking everywhere, the T, rentals, bumming rides, etc....
But as the weather turns for the worse, being carless is a lot harder in Boston.
I'm craving my independence again - especially for 5-hour trips home, dating, etc...
it's not an ideal choice of course, but I'm glad that I've been carless for 5 months before deciding to spend the money.
