  • Microsoft Money question

Since using online banking for several years. I asked my bank (BOA) why they were charging me a fee, come to find out it is Microsoft Money is charging me a monthly fee of 9.95 for downloads. I haven't used MM for over 5 months but the fee is still coming out of my account. Does anyone know how I can get rid of these charges.

I don't think they charge a monthly fee, you juts purchase the software. See this link: microsoft.com/money/fees.mspx

Thanks for the link. I guess I'm back to the bank with proof in hand.

Bank of America will let you download transactions for free. What you are paying for is the ability to send bill payments to Bank of America through Microsoft Money or Quicken. You will need to contact BoA and tell them you no longer want to have this service. You can still download transactions even after you stop this service, but you may have to do it manually.

Citibank does the same thing, however I can download transactions through Quicken. If I want to send bill pays through Quicken at Citi, I would need to pay them a monthly fee as well. They will waive the fee for Citigold customers. BoA will waive the fee if you have 25,000 with them.
